At 72 Holidays, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. This Cancellation & Refunds Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations, modifications, and refunds for all bookings made through our services.
⚠️ Important Notice: Please read this policy carefully before confirming your booking. By completing a booking with 72 Holidays, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Cancellation Policy
1.1 Standard Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation notice and vary based on the timing of cancellation:

Note: Cancellation charges may vary for peak season bookings (April-June, December-January) and special holiday periods. Additional charges may apply for customized or special request packages.
1.2 How to Cancel Your Booking
To cancel your booking, please follow these steps:
- Send a written cancellation request via email to contcat@72holidays.com
- Include your booking reference number, full name, and tour details
- Clearly state the reason for cancellation
- Cancellation is effective from the date we receive your written notice
- You will receive a cancellation confirmation within 48 hours
Important: Verbal or telephonic cancellations are not accepted. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
2. Refund Policy
2.1 Refund Processing Timeline
After receiving your cancellation request and processing the applicable charges:
- Refund eligibility will be assessed within 3-5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed within 15-20 business days
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for booking
- Bank processing time may take an additional 5-7 business days
2.2 Non-Refundable Components
The following charges are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Visa processing fees and charges
- Travel insurance premiums
- Non-refundable airline tickets or confirmed train bookings
- Non-refundable hotel reservations
- Special permits and entry fees already paid
- Third-party service charges (adventure activities, special events, etc.)
- Bank transaction fees and payment gateway charges
2.3 Partial Refunds
In cases where only certain services are cancelled or modified:
- Refunds will be calculated based on the specific service cancelled
- Applicable cancellation charges will be deducted from the cancelled portion
- Administrative charges may apply for processing partial cancellations
3. Modification & Rescheduling
3.1 Tour Modification Charges
If you wish to modify your booking instead of cancelling:
- 30+ days before departure: Modification fee of ₹2,000 per person + any applicable price difference
- 15-29 days before departure: Modification fee of ₹5,000 per person + any applicable price difference
- Less than 15 days: Modifications subject to availability and may incur cancellation charges
3.2 Date Change / Postponement
Requests to reschedule tour dates are subject to:
- Availability of accommodations and services on new dates
- Price differences between original and new travel dates
- Rescheduling fees as per the modification charges above
- Airline/transport rescheduling charges (if applicable)
- Rescheduling must be requested at least 15 days before original departure
Peak Season Notice: Date changes during peak seasons may be subject to higher charges and are subject to availability. We recommend booking well in advance for peak travel periods.
4. Cancellation by 72 Holidays
4.1 Right to Cancel
72 Holidays reserves the right to cancel any tour under the following circumstances:
- Insufficient number of participants (minimum group size not met)
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, etc.)
- Government restrictions or travel advisories
- Operational or safety concerns
- Supplier cancellations beyond our control
4.2 Refund in Case of Company Cancellation
If 72 Holidays cancels your tour:
- Full refund of all amounts paid (excluding payment gateway charges)
- Alternative tour dates or packages of equal or greater value
- Credit voucher for future bookings valid for 12 months
- No additional compensation for any other expenses incurred
We will notify you immediately via email and phone if we need to cancel your tour and discuss available options with you.
5. Force Majeure & Travel Disruptions
5.1 Unforeseen Circumstances
In cases of events beyond our control (force majeure), including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, landslides, avalanches)
- Political unrest, terrorism, or civil disturbances
- Pandemics or health emergencies
- Airline strikes, flight cancellations, or transportation failures
- Government-imposed restrictions or travel bans
- Extreme weather conditions affecting travel safety
5.2 Force Majeure Policy
- 72 Holidays will not be liable for any cancellation charges if the tour is cancelled due to force majeure
- We will make every effort to provide alternative arrangements or reschedule the tour
- Refunds in force majeure situations will be processed after deducting non-recoverable expenses
- We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover such situations
6. Special Circumstances
6.1 Medical Emergencies
In case of medical emergencies requiring cancellation:
- Valid medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner must be provided
- Standard cancellation charges apply unless covered by travel insurance
- We recommend purchasing travel insurance with medical cancellation coverage
- Partial refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis
6.2 Visa Rejection
If your visa application is rejected:
- Provide official visa rejection letter from the embassy/consulate
- Cancellation charges: 15% of total tour cost + non-refundable expenses
- Visa fees and processing charges are non-refundable
- Notice must be provided within 7 days of visa rejection
6.3 No-Show Policy
If you fail to show up for your tour without prior cancellation:
- No refund will be provided
- 100% of the tour cost will be forfeited
- No credit or transfer to future bookings
7. Payment & Refund Methods
7.1 Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payments through:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
- Net Banking
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
- Bank Transfer/NEFT/RTGS
7.2 Refund Processing
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
- For cash payments, refunds will be made via bank transfer (provide bank details)
- Payment gateway charges (2-3%) are non-refundable
- Currency conversion charges (for international payments) are non-refundable
8. Travel Insurance
Strongly Recommended: We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical emergencies, flight delays, lost baggage, and other unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance can protect you from financial losses due to unexpected events.
Travel insurance typically covers:
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Medical emergencies and evacuation
- Lost or delayed baggage
- Flight delays and missed connections
- Personal accident coverage
9. Additional Terms & Conditions
9.1 Booking Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation
- Advance payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking
- Balance payment must be made 15 days before departure
- Failure to pay balance amount may result in automatic cancellation
9.2 Group Bookings
- Different cancellation policies may apply for group bookings (10+ people)
- Custom policies will be communicated at the time of booking
- Contact us for specific group booking terms
9.3 Customized Packages
- Cancellation charges for customized packages may differ from standard policy
- Specific terms will be outlined in your booking confirmation
- Higher cancellation charges may apply due to special arrangements
